Texas

Right now I am in the middle of what is turning out to be a great training experience in heat of Houston, Texas! District 15 regatta has been part of the experience, everyone that I have been training with sailed in the regatta this weekend. The wind for the regatta was no different than the three previous training days, which has been around 18 to 22mph gusts up to 25 or so. This is exactly what I need leading up to Worlds which will most likely be a windy event over in La Rochelle, France. My hiking legs are starting to kick in, and I am feeling better in the boat every day. Tomorrow we are doing a 20 mile downwind sail from Galveston back to Houston. It will be a great way to practice our downwind technique. I am very excited and cant wait for four more days of training in Texas!
